Introducing – Myself!

I decided to start a blog for my weight loss journey on a budget. I have dieted so many times. Some successful, some not. I lost 70 pounds about 2 years ago doing a strict low carb, low calorie, high protein diet. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. 800 calories a day for 6 months but I did it and it worked great. I slowly have gained about back between 10 and 20 pounds, it fluctuates based on vacations and what is going on in my life so now I need to lose 25 pounds to be at ideal weight for myself (20 solid pounds and then I figured I’d give myself 5 extra).

Low carb works great for me. I honestly love it but I felt like I needed a change. Frozen foods are so easy and takes the thinking, weighing, counting and over all thought out of it. I also really like ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches (I pretend I am eating an Egg McMuffin every morning). For me, dieting is about tricking myself into thinking I am enjoying the shit out of something.

I also don’t want to meal prep. The idea makes me cringe. When I hear people say they spent their Sundays meal prepping I want to cry for them. I cannot think of a worse way to spend 1 of my 2 days off a week.

I am also a lover of fried food (Popeye’s is my favorite), movie theater popcorn, almost any Asian food and any kind of chip I can get my hands on. I like desserts but will always chose fried over sweet.

I am blogging because I feel like it might help me stay on track. At least that is what I am hoping for. Not sure how much I will have to say about muffin sandwiches and frozen meals day after day but I will try to provide some amusement along they way.
